COVID 19 PROTOCOL

Given the current circumstances, we understand that you may be a bit concerned about your trip. However, we at Aurora Experts want to assure you that we are well-prepared and ready to give you a fantastic, rewarding and safe tour.

With this in mind, and following the guidelines of our health authorities, our team has implemented a Contingency Plan to face the new situation and prevent the spread of COVID-19.

What we do

  • We clean and disinfect all shared contact surfaces in the vehicle several times per day, mostly those that are frequently touched such as door handles, arm rests, buttons for windows and locks, seatbelts… However, wearing gloves is an effective way to minimise the risk of infection.

  • Hand sanitiser is provided onboard our vehicles. Feel free to use it as much as you need.  We also encourage you to keep your hands clean by washing them with soap and water for at least 20 second whenever you can.

  • Where and when possible, we keep the door opened to promote air flow through the vehicle.

What we kindly ask you to do

In order to keep you and our guides protected, we have put together new procedures that are mostly simple-to-follow rules which you are presumably living by already and that won’t get in the way of discovering our amazing nature and incredible landscapes. Here they are:

  • We need you to keep at least 2 metre distance from others at all times possible. If this is not possible (like within the bus or in restaurants, for instance) the use of a mask is mandatory.

  • You are required to wear a face mask onboard our minibuses. Please get in touch with info@auroraexperts.is before your trip if you’re unable to wear a covering so we can provide you with one.

  • Please do not travel if you feel unwell or are symptomatic before the trip.

  • We kindly ask you to use the same seats all night. However, passengers traveling with members of their household bubble should sit together.

  • In order to respect the 2 meters rule, our guides will ask you to enter and exit the minibus in a controlled manner.

  • Minimize all unnecessary contact such as shaking hands, hugging and kissing.

  • Cover your coughs and sneezes with a tissue or use the inside of your elbow.

  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth as much as possible.

With the sole objective that you enjoy your tour in the safest way possible, our guides will ensure that everyone understands these procedures and we trust you will agree in good grace to follow all their guidelines, as well as those of any of the suppliers we use during the trip.
